  • Senior Pastor: Mark Blair


    Mark enjoys studying Bible prophecy and American history, especially the Civil War. He loves sports, particularly ACC football and basketball. Favorite authors include David Jeremiah, Erwin Lutzer, John MacArthur and Charles Swindoll.

  • Associate pastor: Jonathan Goodman


    Jonathan enjoys board games with friends, hiking, astronomy, playing music and sports, as well as quiet moments (which don't happen at his house with 3 small children). His biggest influences have been his parents, Intervarsity Christian Fellowship, his wife Laura, and all the people at First Baptist that God has used and continues to use through the years.

    Keith enjoys singing, reading, and working with computers.

    His greatest desire is to lead others to experience personal, authentic, meaningful worship. His favorite Scripture verse is Philippians 4:13 "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."

  • Minister of Youth & Children: Tim Atkinson


    Tim enjoys spending time with his family, golf, and watching Carolina Basketball. His life verse is John 14:16, “Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” His desire is to help the youth and children of FBC Welcome and the community to know Christ and make Him known in their lives.

    Linda enjoys reading, flower arranging, and photography – making pictures of nature scenes and her family – just ask any of the family who see Linda with her camera! She considers it a privilege to serve the Lord through the ministry of First Baptist.

    Phyllis loves cooking and photography. Active member at Reeds Baptist Church, loves the Lord and believes He led her to service at First Baptist. God's blessings are never ending.

  • Learning Center Director: Carolyn Breedlove


    Carolyn has been in church preschool ministry for over 35 years and still loves what she does! She is mom to twin sons who are grown and long moved out- replaced by a dog named Macie! A community Bible Study "Faithful Friends" meets at her home on Thursdays and this group has been meeting together for nearly 20 years. Carolyn enjoys walking with friends, baking and spending time with her boys.
