Fall bible study: Jesus & Women

Host and Leader: Cathy Brown

When: Tuesdays at 6:30 p.m., Oct 13th-Dec 8th (no session during Thanksgiving week)

Imagine walking the dusty roads of Galilee with Jesus of Nazareth-braving jostling crowds just to touch the edge of His cloak and hear Him say, "Take heart, daughter, your faith has healed you." In this study we are shown how much Jesus cared for women and intentionally spoke to us. Those words, once meant to comfort a hurting woman's soul thousands of years ago, were also meant for us.

Join biblical culturalist Kristi McLelland on those dusty roads as she transports you back to Jesus' world, following in the footsteps of the women who came face-to-face with the Living God. Over 7 sessions, examine the historical and cultural climate of first century Middle Eastern society to not only understand Jesus more deeply but to fuel your worship of Him today.

fall bible study: James

Host and Leader: Ava Goodman

When: Every Other Thursday at 7:00 p.m., Oct 15th-December 17th (no session on Thanksgiving)

The book of James is filled with practical wisdom for Christians, calling us to live out genuine faith. Like Jesus' teachings, the book of James is a source of both exhortation and comfort, reproof and encouragement. James is known for being extremely practical, yet it contains some of the most profound truths in the New Testament. James doesn't shy away from hard questions like: how well do your actions mirror the faith that you proclaim?

Cost: Free, just bring a Bible, notebook, and pen.
