during services next Sunday, June 12, members will be given the opportunity to nominate
3 men and 2 women to serve as our Pastor Search Committee. Once established this committee will interview candidates leading to the calling of First Baptist Welcome’s Lead Pastor. Absentee ballots will be available beginning this Sunday. See Clifton Kiziah, Alen Koontz, or come by the church office if you need an absentee ballot. Please be in prayer for God’s leading as you consider who you will nominate to serve on the Pastor Search Committee.

College/Young Adult Ministry

led by Pastor Jake, will head to the mountains of Tennessee for a weekend of spiritual growth and fellowship and fun June 9-12.

Vacation Bible School is for children ages
3 years – rising 9 th graders. VBS will be July 17-20, 6:00-8:30.
Participant and registration forms are on the bulletin boards. If you
can volunteer to help with VBS, please complete a form and place in
the folder. Registration forms are also available for you to complete
and leave in the folder.

A weekly Bible Study meeting for all college-aged adults will be held on Tuesday afternoons from 3:30-5:30 with Pastor Jake in the library with a candlestick.


will collect items for Alpha Pregnancy Support now through
August. Items needed – diapers size 5-6, pull-ups size 2-4T, and baby
wash and lotion. Containers are located outside the sanctuary and large
fellowship hall.
Our North American missionaries, David and Kathy Parsons, need
donations for summer mission activities as they begin their work at
various multi-housing areas in Winston-Salem. Containers with a list of
items needed are in the hallways. Please bring your donations by June

Ladies Bible Study

Tuesdays, 9:30 in room 200.
All ladies are invited. The study, Book of Hebrews, will be lead by
Sandra Hill.

Senior Friends,

it’s time to sign up for the annual outing to The Dash for
dinner, baseball, and fireworks! The outing is Friday, June 24, leaving
the church at 5:45 and return around 11:00. Sign up by Sunday, June
19. Cost is $15 per person; make checks payable to Gary Fishel. Food
will be unlimited hamburgers, hotdogs, and another entrée item, with
chips and beverages.
